Wechahi

Wechahi 1936

Expressionist sculptor with a pronounced flair for the epic and the dramatic. His sculptures are correlatives of the passion and tension lowering over his choice of form: they fly in the air, taking circular forms , or come to rest on the statue's most delicate point , in a challenge to the traditional theory of balance in sculpture - which gives his work is distinctive imprint in Modern Egyptian Art .
